Advantages of Biomass gasifiers:
- Cheap to produce - Rs.2.50 to Rs.5 per KWh of electricity depending on raw materials, size of the plant and the load.
- Renewable energy - Woody biomass can be grown without any limit and hence the fuel is considered renewable.
- Can be produced any time - Unlike other renewable technologies such as solar which is weather dependent, biomass gasifiers are engine based and hence can be run whenever required.
- Carbon neutral - Biomass is woody matter that usually decomposes into the soil. Carbon-di-oxide is released during this process. Since the same amount of carbon-di-oxide is released even in a gasifier, this technology is considered carbon neutral.
- Raw material available in plenty - The raw material can be anything from coconut shells and wood cuttings to rice husk. In India, the current biomass potential is estimated at 20 GW. That is enough electricity for 100 million people in India.
- Customizable - Biomass gasifier installations can be as small as 9KW and can be as large as 10 MW or more.
- Stable technology - The technology is more than 30 years old and hence is very stable.
What we do?
We can help you with consultation, installation, operations and maintenance of a biomass gasifier plant for you. We know that setting up a power plant and running it is a challenge in itself and that you would want the power generation process to be as simple as obtaining grid power. So, we offer services which help you with just the same. Contact us to know more about us.
